I am passionate when it comes to decorating my home. For as long as I can remember I have loved decorating "nesting" the space that I live in. My mother who is the best mom ever (thanks mom for always inspiring me!) painted my bedroom when I was thirteen pink and red because that is what I wanted and she has always believed in me and my visions.
I went to visit an out-of-town friend for a week and came home to three walls painted pink and one wall painted the most beautiful shade of red. Red has always been my favorite color and fills me with happiness. My canopy bed had a new bedspread to match and I also had a beautiful pink princess phone on the nightstand which any thirteen year old then or now would be ectastic to have. Boy, do I wish I had that pretty pink princess phone now! I knew then that I had the hippest room on the block!
Any hoo-Mom taught me that it is not the money you put into your furnishings and decor, but the love and passion that goes into picking the right shade of color, accessories which flatter and function at the same time, and filling your home with what makes you and your family happy! What is your favorite color to bring you happiness? Happy Spring!

Typical Monday
Today, is a typical Monday at our house. Kids to school, I go to work, and Don tends to house, picks up children, then cart them to baseball or swim practice. I prepare dinner and clean-up. However, I did find time to mend a pair of Noah's shorts and spray paint a picnic basket that has been on my to-do list for awhile now. I hope to clean pantry tonight as I have spring fever and want to get everything nice and clean for our family!

Living a Vintage Life
Today, I am beginning a blog which I had been afraid to do. I was nervous that I wouldn't know what to do therefore, make mistakes that wouldn't be repairable. However, through the continued encouragement of my 13 year old son, Noah I am getting started!
